Tenets of Faith-What We Believe
THE BIBLE
We believe in the full inspiration of the Bible, and that the Old and New Testament is the infallible Word of God. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). We stand firm that the Word of God is the only authority in all earthly and spiritual matters. The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice.

THE FATHER
We believe in God as the Father, the Almighty Author, and Creator of all things. The Old Testament make known God’s nature, character, and the sovereignty of God; and the Gospels in the New Testament gives us knowledge of God the “Father” revealing the relationship of God to Jesus as Father in the Godhead, and Jesus himself the Son (John 15:8, 14:20). Jesus also gives all believers the authority to call God “Father” when he depicts God in the light of “Your Father knows” (Matthew 6:8).

THE SON
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Second person in the Godhead of the Trinity or Triune Godhead and that He was and is eternal in his person and nature as the Son of God who was with God at the beginning of creation (John 1:1). We believe Jesus Christ was born of a virgin called Mary, according to the scripture (Matthew 1:18). He became the “sacrificial Lamb” who came to redeem man from sin and to restore man to God, his Father (Romans 5:10), and that He is the mediator between God and man (I Timothy 2:5).

THE HOLY GHOST
We believe the Holy Ghost is the Third person of the Godhead –the Trinity. The Holy Ghost is a gift bestowed upon the believer for the equipping and empowering to be an effective witness for God in the world. The Holy Ghost teaches and guides us into all truth (John 16:13; Acts 1:8, 8:39). He reveals the deep things of God to the Church, anointing men to be the divine mouthpiece of God in the earth realm to dismantle the works of darkness.
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST
We firmly believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. We believe that when a believer receives the baptism of the Holy Ghost experience, they will speak with a tongue unknown as the Holy Ghost gives utterance as stated in Acts 2:4 “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

MAN
We believe that God created man from the dust of the earth and that man is composed of body and soul. We believe that man by nature is sinful and needs to be cleansed from all sins by the blood of Jesus. We believe that man can only be saved by confessing and renouncing his sins and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 declares, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Romans 10:10 states,” for with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto Salvation.”
SIN
We believe that through the First Adam, Sin entered into the world and that Adam and Eve committed the “original sin” when they ate the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Through Adam’s disobedience, we believe that by nature, man is sinful, and he has fallen from a glorious and righteous state from which he was created; as a result, man must be restored to his state of holiness and fellowship with God. “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).

SALVATION
We believe Salvation deals with the function of the work of redemption to the sinner with his restoration to divine favour and spiritual union with God. The Holy Ghost is the agent that draws the sinful man to repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ, which brings conversion, faith, justification regeneration, sanctification, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Repentance is the work of God, which results in a transformation of the mind in respect to man’s relationship with God. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12).
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe in the second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He shall return, and every eye shall behold him, (Acts 1:11; Titus 2:11-13; St. Matthew 16:27; 24:30; 25:30; Luke 21:27; John 1:14, 17; Titus 2:11) and that the Church, the bride, will be caught up to meet Him in the air (I Thessalonians, 4:16-17).

TITHING AND OFFERINGS
We believe in tithing and offering according to (Malachi 3:10; 1 Corinthians 16: 1, 2). Tithing and offering sustain the ministry, spreads the Gospel, and releases personal blessing. Thus, TITHING is the God-given responsibility of all believers to bring into the ministry.

EVANGELISM
We believe that soul winning is the “business” of the Church in the earth realm (James 5:20; Mark 16:15).
THE ORDINANCES OF NEWBIRTH KINGDOM OF GOD MINISTRIES

NewBirth Kingdom Of God Ministries believes in the Holy Ordinances of God, Jesus Christ himself instituted these ordinances, and hence NewBirth reflects these practices.

A. WATER BAPTISM BY IMMERSION
Jesus declares in John 3:5, “Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” Water baptism is an outward demonstration that an individual has experienced the new birth (conversion) and has accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. Our mode of Baptism is by immersion, using the Baptismal Method given to us by Jesus Christ “…In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19).
B. THE LORD’S SUPPER
The Lord’s Supper symbolizes the death and suffering that Jesus Christ endured on the cross to redeem humankind. The Lord Supper symbolizes the death of Jesus Christ and the believer’s participation in the crucified Christ. The Lord Supper represents not only the object of the believer’s faith that connects them to Christ, but also the essence of the effect of this act as the giving of life, hope, strength, healing, peace, and joy to the believer’s soul.
C. FEET WASHING
Washing of the Saints feet is practiced and recognized as an ordinance in NewBirth because Jesus Christ demonstrated this example, demonstrating the importance of humility in the Kingdom of God. John 13: 4-5 declares, “He rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.” Feet Washing comes after the Lord’s Supper.

“From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised” Psalm 113:3
